Hi guys we have 29 members in this tribe if we can all write to the right person/people here at Tribe.net then maybe they would add a Baha'i option to the list of religions?! (in the personal profile section) I'd rather be Baha'i than "Other"!!!

Thu, December 2, 2004 - 8:29 PMThere are several tribers that work for Tribe.com and there are tribes where you can post your request. For example TribeIdeas is a good place to put this request, otherwise on the Release Notes tribe you can find most Tribe.com people.

Tue, October 3, 2006 - 9:00 PMNow that tribe.net has gone through a change of management (of sorts), I thought I would check in to see how many people have emailed this suggestion in to date. Mine went out in August and I never got a response. I'm going to follow up, but it would be great to assess how many of us have asked to date so we can provide good feedback. I'll try to hold off for a couple of weeks, or so.
From my own personal perspective, even if they don't add "Baha'i" it would be great to allow one to simply opt out of the question, instead of forcing us to pick "Other". -

Tue, October 3, 2006 - 10:52 PMThere should be a form that would let people type in the name of their religion whenever they select "Other." This would accomodate all sorts of Faiths, in addition to Baha'i. -

Wed, October 4, 2006 - 3:29 PMThis would certainly be a great alternative, I agree. I can imagine a text input field would also make tracking religious preferences on the backend a little trickier ("garbage in, garbage out") but that's not really our problem.
The only point I was trying to make was, I would be content not answering at all, which might be simplest for the tribe admins (noting that they appear to be swamped). Based on my own webdev experience, it's easier to add a dropdown choice or make the field non-required, than to add a whole new fill-in field option (although arguably doing either or both only takes a couple of minutes).
